I have used monitoring systems for several years and feel passionately about ensuring my residents receive the optimum care at all times.
It forms part of our Quality Assurance Checks and we actively promote our use of Night Owl system to new residents and their families. It gives reassurance that their family member receives regular checks during the night as there are so many negative reports of Care Homes.

We customised the settings to our own requirements.

The support from Night Owl is fantastic from first enquiry and is ongoing.
The initial set up cost is reasonable, very good value for money. There is no annual charge or monthly cost. Any repairs are returned and dealt with promptly.
I have used an alternative system: which involved ongoing charges. The Night Owl approach enable me to manage my budget well knowing there are no additional costs.
It is not always possible to be in the care home at all times, therefore measures have to be put in place to ensure the residents are getting the care and attention they require.
By recording hourly checks at night and recording the data and analysing the information – we are protecting the residents, staff and the Care Home from any claims of neglect, abuse etc.
In analysing the data, we are clearly able to see response times to calls, level of care needed and changes in nighttime behaviour of the residents.
