Fire Watch System: How our MiniTool Pro Keeps Buildings Safe?
With fire complaints rising worldwide, relying on manual records is no longer enough. These are common in residential apartments, high-rise office buildings, and public places, resulting in damage worth millions of pounds.
Relying solely on fire marshals to manage fire incidents is no longer practical. A Fire Watch System becomes a critical asset as it provides accurate reporting to confirm that duties are being carried out, helps organizations comply with fire safety regulations, and protects both people and business assets when it matters most. Choosing the right fire monitoring system, however, can be difficult.
Presenting the Most Reliable Fire Monitoring System
Our advanced Fire Monitoring Systems are configured to record regular & annual checks or services of a fire alarm system, ensuring unalterable reports that identify who performed the task, the actual location or system component that was checked or serviced, a description of the task, and a date and time stamp confirming exactly when it happened.
How Our Fire Watch System Actually Works
Here’s how you can implement our effective fire monitoring system-
- Identifying locations with Touch Buttons
The process begins by placing Touch Buttons at every location that needs to be part of the patrol. These are durable, hermetically sealed stainless-steel devices, each containing a unique serial number. They can be mounted on walls, door frames, or directly on system components. Each serial number is registered in the MiniTool Pro Software with a clear area-specific description like Main Lobby, Reception Fire Exit, Main Emergency Call Point, and so on, so the system always knows exactly which physical location is being checked.
- Starting the patrol with a Personnel Tag
A typical patrol begins with the fire warden registering their Personnel Tag on the MiniTool Pro Data reader. This tells the system exactly who is conducting the patrol before any checkpoints are visited. From that point, the warden moves through the building, placing the data reader against each Touch Button and every system component along their route. The system automatically records this contact along with the precise date and time it happened.
- Logging tasks with event books
The MiniTool Pro data reader can store up to 60,000 readings containing necessary details. Along with location Touch Buttons, event books containing ten Touch Buttons can also be registered within the system. These represent predefined tasks such as “Pass,” “Fail,” “Obstruction,” or “Obstruction Removed.” Personnel Touch Buttons help identify the staff member carrying the data reader. The task is recorded alongside the location and timestamp, building a detailed picture not just of where the warden went but also of what they found when they arrived.
- Uploading the data and generating reports
When the patrol ends, the fire warden connects the MiniTool Pro Data reader to the management computer via USB. The collected data uploads to the Patrol Management Software, where it is automatically organised into a documented log. Each entry is linked to its corresponding Touch Button description, turning a series of scan records into clear, meaningful reports that are tailored to the specific building, whether that is a hotel, an apartment block, or a public building.
